Longarm Quilting by Mandy
Welcome to Longarm Quilting by Mandy
Upon moving to Lancaster County PA in 2001 my goal was to learn how to quilt. I had always admired the beautiful handiwork of others and knew I had to learn this beautiful art form. I went to my local quilting/sewing center, purchased a new domestic machine, and signed up for some classes right away. Thus, I began my journey into the wonderful world of quilting and never looked back.
When I finished each of my quilt tops I would quilt them on my domestic machine. I quickly discovered that my quilts were so large and the throat of my machine was so small that it made the quilting process extremely difficult. I was rarely pleased with the outcome. As a result, I would just stitch in the ditch. When I looked at my finished quilts I realized that there was a very important element that was missing from them.
I decided to take the next logical step in quilting and purchased a longarm machine so I could finish my quilts and quilts for others. I am happy to say that I am the proud owner of a Gammill Optimum longarm, guided by the Statler Sticher computerized system.
Being a quilter first and then becoming a professional longarm quilter, I recognize how much time, effort and love you put into your quilts. With the use of this amazing machine we can choose a quilting design that will complement and enchance your piecing to give your quilt the perfect finishing touch.
I have many computerized designs for you to choose from within your price range and budget. Call to set up an appointment and together we can decide how to finish your quilt.
